The Saga - Narrative
The year is 880AD and our young Viking Warrior has travelled from a Scandinavian country and arrived in England. The Danish Vikings and King Alfred have negotiated a peace treaty ‘Danelaw’. Our young warrior has to help the Vikings defeat local outlaws and defeat the mythical Trolls.
They will also be asked to travel to the Saxon Town to help with the peace treaty and collect the Danegeld, there are also plenty of Saxon outlaws our young warrior can help defeat.
Along the way our young warrior will discover and learn many facts and gain knowledge about life during those turbulent years.

Setting a Quest.
Over 15 missions have been set for the pupil to complete, each task can be set for the whole class or individually. The aim of each task is to enhance a pupil’s understanding of the topic Vikings and Anglo Saxons and to provide opportunities to develop historical skills.
We have set these missions within the pupils handbook; this can be printed as a complete booklet for the pupil to keep and write a Saga about their adventures. Or each quest can be read to the class, the pupils can be guided to complete the task as it fits into the class topic.
Some tasks are very simple and enable the pupil to become familiar with their surroundings, others are more difficult as they gain confidence with the controls and understand the mechanics of the game.
